From Adopted Cat to Having CFA Division Winner Title
The J&K HIM Cattery in Hong Kong also holds this belief. This year, we have received special attention from the heavens to cheer us on our breeding path. we are honor to announce J&K HIM Jer Jer won the title of Grand Premiership in One Show competition, becoming the second cat of the "One Show Grand" for our cattery. In addition, J&K HIM Jer Jer became the first cat in our cattery to be awarded the title of "CFA Division Winner". For this, I must thank the HK Pirates Meow Club and the judges who tried their best to take responsibility despite the ongoing epidemic.
Here we also have to thank the owner of J&K HIM Jer Jer. Without their proper care to Jer Jer, she cannot present her shine on show hall. I remember a saying from a breeder senior that the breeder of the pedigree cat is not only a breeder, but also a caregiver. For the cat breed you like, you will have the goals and direction to improve the cat's health, body shape, appearance, and personality and so on, in order to achieve the perfect living sculpture for your favorite cat breed.
When there is such a practice, it can really be called a breeder,
and that is why pedigree cat breeders often spend a lot of money, time and energy to compete. The award is a "true standard" that the judges confirming he cat breed has achieved the proper rating.
The breeding process is full of surprises and challenges. For example, we want to match two winning cats, but they may opposite each other, and not compatible. A cat that looks sweet but not suitable for production. J&K HIM Jer Jer is a cat who has been unsuccessful in conception. We then redesigned her future plan, to find a good home for her as soon as possible while she is still young. After all we found the new owner Shelley. J&K HIM Jer Jer was finally sterilized and adopted.
During the owner selection, no photo have been given to them. The purpose is not to allow the owner to decide whether to adopt or not based on appearance. Moreover, J&K HIM Jer Jer's tortoiseshell colour is not a flattering colour for non-breeders. Among
the many applicants, after asking many questions, I finally met a experienced cat owner, Shelley who also raised a tortoiseshell cat before. It seems like the God has chosen the perfect owner to J&K HIM Jer Jer.
Shelley and her husband Kevin, took good care of Jer Jer, from the average amount of hair, the hair that has never grown long, turning into a cat with hair ball. We persuaded Shelley and Kevin to bring Jer Jer to the show hall and hoped that experience can enhance and deepen their relationship. It seems God agrees Shelley and Kevin's master's dedication to Jer Jer and now Jer Jer got the "CFA Division Winner" title.

經歷了幾年不景氣，21-22年度疫情大家漸能與病毒共存，繼續努力如常生活，從夾縫中求存成長，這正是香港人一直以來的生活態度和信念。
位於香港的J&K HIM貓舍也持著這信念，今年特別得到上天的眷顧，為我們繁殖路打打氣。J&K HIM Jer Jer（啫啫） 在參加一埸比賽下獲得Grand Premiership的名銜，成為貓舍第二隻One Show Grand的貓。此外，她更成為貓舍裡第一隻獲得Division Winner名銜的貓，在這一定要感謝在疫情持續下仍有勇氣繼續舉辦貓展的HK Piraters Meow Club 貓會和盡

的主人，又怎能不歸功於她們的照顧，才能令她在賽埸上發光發亮。記得前輩有分享，血統貓的繁殖人，不只是一個繁殖者，更是一個保育者，為著你所喜歡的貓種不斷有目標，有方向地改善貓隻的健康，體形，改表，性格等，務求令喜愛的貓種達致完美的活雕刻品。
是哦！當有這樣的實踐，真能稱得上為一個保育者，這亦是血統貓繁殖者何以時常花上不菲的金錢，時間和精力去比賽的原因。獎項就是在一個「活標準」的評判中確認已達到該貓種應有的水評。
繁殖過程充滿驚喜和挑戰，兩隻獲獎貓，很想他們相配；但他們相對，但又不相配。外表甜美的貓又不等如適合生產。而主角啫啫正是一隻一直未能成功授孕的貓。為著她將來打算，趁她還年輕時盡快替她找個好歸宿。所以試過數次相配不成後便絕育出領養。
由刊登到篩選主人，一直沒有刊登相片，目的是不想準主人以外表而決定領養與否，更加上玳瑁色對於非繁殖者來說，不是一個討好的顏色。在眾多的申請人中，多翻提問後，最終遇上了一個也曾養過玳瑁色貓的準主人（Shelley)。這好像上天為啫啫選了屬於她的主人般。
Shelley照顧啫啫得很好，由毛量一般，一直生長不長的毛，到了她手下，啫啫竟成了一個毛球。參賽只是想主人與啫啫有一次特別的經歷，盼主人與貓貓能建立更深厚的感情。或許上天都認同主人對啫啫的付出，所以令她得到這樣的名銜。再次替啫啫感謝你們（Shelley Shek – Kevin Leung）的照顧與愛。
