Honor under the Epidemic : J&K HIM Cattery got award again

Before the epidemic had completely retreated, the J&K HIM Cattery received an encouraging message. 

In the last season (2018-2019) , we won the TICA International Cat Association's Best Himalayan in the international region and the Best Cream Point Himalayan of the year. In this season (2019- 2020),  J&K HIM Cattery got awards again. J&K HIM Dor Dor is the 17th Best Alter and the Best Himalayan Alter in the international region.


We, first of all, want to thank the cat owner for his proper care,  and making Dor Dor happy every day, letting him have the best performance during the show time and won the awards finally. 

Under the epidemic, there is no cat show, and everybody "Work From Home" does increase the difficulty of taking care of cats. Therefore, in addition to winning more prizes this time, in addition to the glory of the cattery, it also brings some comfort in time. We promise and will continue to work hard to accompany more excellent Himalayan Cats!




疫情下的光榮 J&K HIM 貓舍再度獲獎

在疫情還未全退之時，J&K HIM 貓舍收到一個鼓舞的消息。繼上賽季(2018-2019年度) J&K HIM Yu Yu (魚魚) 獲得 TICA 國際貓協會的國際區最佳喜瑪拉雅貓，和年度最佳忌廉重點山貓紋喜瑪拉雅貓後；在剛過去的賽季 (2019-2020年度)，我們貓舍的 J&K HIM Dor Dor (多多)，亦獲得 TICA 國際貓協會的國際區絕育貓組最佳喜瑪拉雅貓，與國際區絕育貓組第十七名銜。



今次多多的獲獎，我們首先要多謝貓主的適心照顧，令多多天天開心，可以用最佳的表現出參賽兼得獎。在疫情下，沒有比賽，人人 Work From Home，的確增加了照顧貓舍貓咪的難度。所以，今次多多得獎，除了是本貓舍的光榮亦及時帶來點安慰。我們會繼續努力，陪育出更多優秀的喜瑪拉雅貓！

A Cat That Is No Longer With Us LayLay (J&K HIM LAY LAY) was a cat that is no longer with us. He was one of the four cats: SiSi , DorDor, BearBear, and LayLay. After his birth, LayLay was very weak. Although the mother cat was experienced and skilled at raising kittens, frequently exposing her belly for the kittens to nurse, LayLay was so weak that he couldn't even muster the strength to crawl to her nipples to feed. We could only watch helplessly as nature took its course, or attempt to save him by tube feeding, as per the literature. Although we had prior experience with tube feeding, it was always a nerve-wracking process because one wrong placement into the lungs could be fatal within a day. Tube feeding required feeding every few hours, and under severe sleep deprivation, ensuring zero mistakes was crucial to keep him alive. Our Ms. Siobhan Haughey：J&K HIM Sze Sze  Over the past five years, Hong Kong has experienced many heartbreaking and distressing events, from social movements to the global pandemic, leading to a buildup of negative emotions among the populace. However, during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, Hong Kong's "Flying Fish," Ms. Siobhan Haughey, brought a moment of exhilaration to the city by winning two silver medals. As a local with Irish heritage, she had the option to represent Ireland but chose to represent Hong Kong instead. In her media interview following her victories, she expressed: "People have often asked me why I don’t represent Ireland. I remember my teammates were always surprised to learn I was representing Hong Kong. I told them I could choose to represent Ireland, but I was born in Hong Kong, I live in Hong Kong, and I am always connected to Hong Kong. I feel proud to represent Hong Kong." From Adopted Cat to Having CFA Division Winner Titl e After a few years of downturn, everyone can gradually coexist with the COVID19 virus in 2021-2022. We continue to work hard to live as usual, and survive and grow from the cracks. This is the attitude and belief of Hong Kong People all along   The J&K HIM Cattery in Hong Kong also holds this belief. This year, we have received special attention from the heavens to cheer us on our breeding path. we are honor to announce J&K HIM Jer Jer won the title of Grand Premiership in One Show competition, becoming the second cat of the "One Show Grand" for our cattery. In addition, J&K HIM Jer Jer became the first cat in our cattery to be awarded the title of "CFA Division Winner".
